Celebrate the construction kick-off for Kansas City's newest fountain at 10 a.m., Friday, November 15. The François Chouteau & Native American Heritage Fountain, to be located adjacent to Chouteau Parkway in the Northland, honors the founder of Kansas City and the Native Americans who lived and traded in the area.
Participants will witness the ground blessing by a tribal member of the Osage Nation as well as a François Chouteau reenactor and Native Americans in their regalia. This is also a great opportunity to meet Kwan Wu, sculptor of the historic bronze statues that will adorn the river bluff portion of the fountain.
Please join the public and community participants who have been striving to bring this amazing asset to the Northland.
